Betsy Housten is a double Sagittarius queer writer and massage therapist. She is the winner of an Academy of American Poets award and a two-time finalist for the Samuel Mockbee Nonfiction Award. Her writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, and Best New Poets. Jersey-born and Brooklyn-bred, she lives in New Orleans, where she is pursuing her MFA in poetry.
